The Hardest Thing To Do - SOMETHING Write a new Blog entry Write a Blog

  • I myself being guilty of this many times, realize that it is so difficult to do something, anything, whether it is to pray, read the word, get involved in a ministry, start a ministry, call up someone, and it goes on and on, just about anything that could be positive or uplifting to ourselves or someone else. I dont think I am the only one who from time to time gets an inclination to do something and ends up doing what we do best "nothing". This "nothingmylifeis" desease is extremly lethal to our christian lifes, yes it is true "Doing NOTHING KILLS". I know this can be a broad topic, and that's just the way I want us to look at it because it can do a wide radius of damage so let's talk, lets DO SOMETHING.

    "nothingmylifeis" Disease

I totally agree with you. I also have struggled with getting involved in ministry. I have realized that doing nothing DOES KILL. Not only will that particular ministry die but also those to whom you should minister. I really hope this will be a challenge to everyone who reads this to take the medication of Zeal in Christ and forever kill the "nothingness" Disease. God Bless you all!

    Ministry murder

You're so right! It's a BROAD, but very interesting topic none-the-less. The part of it that I'm commenting on in particular, is that "Doing nothing kills". I think that not only does it kill you, but it kills everything else around you as well.

Lemme explain - I think you were more talking about how the "nothingmylifeis" disease slowly eats you out inside, devouring your zeal and desire and sense of purpose... but I'd also want to throw in there that it affects the people who are already out there trying to do SOMETHING! I think that no matter how much passion and zeal you have, working hard at your ministry... if it's one of those ministries that does need the support (as most ministries do), but you just can't get it because everyone else seems to be afflicted by the disease... the ministry is eventually going to die?

Why? Well because it affects the succession planning, no one person, or set of persons can indefinitely run or lead a ministry... and so that's my two cents, the "nothingness" is to ministry what a Blackhole is to spaceships and satellites.
