    30 Days to live

    Job 13:15 (NLT)

15 God might kill me, but I have no other hope. I am going to argue my case with him.

    Psalm 42:1

As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.

    1 Corinthians 11:28 (Amplified Bible)

28Let a man [thoroughly] examine himself, and [only when he has done] so should he eat of the bread and drink of the cup.

"Never lose a chance of saying a kind word."

Yesterday we began a new series at church entitled, “30 Days to Live”. The question was asked, “What if you knew you had 30 days to live?” As I reflect on my own life I attempt to answer that question. Would I do anything different? An honest answer to that question is “NO!” But then again there is something about knowing that you are going to die in a couple of days.

    1 Corinthians 15:33 (Amplified Bible)

33Do not be so deceived and misled! Evil companionships (communion, associations) corrupt and deprave good manners and morals and character.

It is so important to ensure that we are physically, emotionally and spiritually healthy. But remember that they cannot be healthy in isolation. I believe they are all linked, they affect each other. Think about someone who wants to loose weight. Weight is not lost from one area only, the entire body is affected.

The conversation continues between Job and his friends. In reading both the response from one friend to Job and another friend to Job, it is clear that they were good friends with Job because they knew him. Not only did they know him but they knew the God Job served.

Anyone without a friend is in a sad state. We need friends for various reasons. With all the conceivable reasons one stands out for me. We need friends to encourage us when life gets overwhelming.
